A layered treat combining crisp apples, crunchy pretzels, creamy caramel, and apple gelatin for a delightful finish.
# What You Need:
→ Pretzel Crust
01 - 2 cups crushed salted pretzels
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
→ Filling
04 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
06 - 8 ounces whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip), thawed
→ Apple Jello Layer
07 - 6 ounces apple-flavored gelatin
08 - 2 cups boiling water
09 - 1 1/2 cups cold water
10 - 2 medium apples, chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
→ Caramel Drizzle
11 - 1/3 cup store-bought caramel sauce, plus extra for garnish
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
02 - In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping until evenly blended. Spread mixture evenly over cooled pretzel crust, sealing edges to prevent seepage. Refrigerate while preparing gelatin.
03 - Dissolve apple-flavored gelatin in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until fully dissolved. Add cold water and let cool to room temperature, approximately 20–25 minutes.
04 - Fold chopped apples into cooled gelatin mixture. Gently pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until fully set.
05 - Before serving, drizzle caramel sauce over the top. Optionally garnish with additional crushed pretzels and apple slices. Slice and serve chilled.
